Guinea Pigs for Sale

I may from time to time have guinea pigs for sale.

I am based in Southport, Merseyside, on the Lancashire border, but may be able to take elsewhere; we have relatives in Liverpool, Leicestershire & Derbyshire, so can combine visits with meeting up or delivering a piggy. Please bring a suitable pet carrier or box lined with newspaper & hay for transportation home.

Conditions of Sale

I will not sell my guinea pigs in singles unless they are to be a companion for another guinea pig, or to be part of a herd of sows.

I will not sell my guinea pigs as companions for rabbits, the reasons being that guinea pigs have different dietry requirements to rabbits and rabbits have very powerful back legs which can seriously injure or kill a guinea pig .

I will also not sell to anyone under the age of 16, unless accompanied by an adult who will take full responsibility for the care of the guinea pig. You must also agree to seek veterinary advice should your guinea pig become ill at anytime throughout it’s life, and if for any reason you feel you can no longer care for a guinea pig you have bought from me, then I would rather it be returned to me (no refunds are given for returned guinea pigs), rather  than taken to a rescue centre.

My guinea pigs are kept indoors throughout the winter, so they must be kept as indoor piggys until at least late spring, or in a heated shed, as a sudden drop in temperature could kill them.

Babies will not leave until they are at least 6 weeks old.

All piggys will come with a birth certificate with details and photos of parents, a care sheet, and a supply of their regular dry food.

You may also buy snuggle sacs at a discounted rate of £2.50 per pig bought for cotton/fleece or £3.50 for double fleece. Please advise if you would like a particular design for your piggy/s at leasts 3 days in advance of collection, so they can be ready in time, otherwise you can choose from any stock I may have available at the time.

Please email if interested in any of the expected litters, or if you’d like to be put on the waiting list….I currently have quite a few people waiting, due to my boars not doing what they were supposed to do! But I am hoping to confirm some pregnancies shortly and should have some babies available for new homes in Spring.

Guinea pigs are £15.00 each, or a pair for £25.00, each additional guinea pig is £10.00.
